5 stars for the doctor Dr Z and the medical assistant. New dude at the front desk needs to have a little bit more customer service in terms of approaching patients especially new ones. The first five minutes interaction with a facility sets the tone of the organization and as a medical professional myself, I practice utmost customer service to my patients:)
Beautiful new office space, convenient parking, fast service, very friendly and helpful staff. Dr. Zaleski is very friendly and professional- answered all my questions. Brooklyn was super helpful in getting the prescription I requested – it was difficult to find and she took the extra time. Bonus – lots a great skin care samples at front desk! Very satisfied!
Great staff . Good sense of humor, it feels like they enjoy working together and I believe they do. Most important; they are relaxed and happy. The best part of going to the doctor is if the staff He is happy, makes your visit much calmer much more relaxed a smile there really lovely folks and Dr Hemperly is very kind.
I had a very disappointing visit with West Dermatology. Upon being scheduled for suture removal, and arriving to the office on time. I was told after waiting 25 minutes without being seen by Dr. Zelensky-Larsen that i would need to wait another week. This wouldn’t have been an issue had i not been scheduled for removal by them. But as i explained when the appointment was made, i also had a flight to catch that day so i didn’t have time to waste. After waiting and then being told that I needed to wait another week without even being seen – well that set me off. Then to make matters worse, i agree to stay even longer to speak with the office manager, who again made me wait so that she could reiterate that i needed to come back. By that time, i was through. I got up to leave, but on my way out i accidentally bumped into the office manager who responded with a very snarky, “excuse me!”
I still have the sutures in but i have no plan to go back to West. After that complete disregard for my time or schedule by Dr. Zelensky-Larsen and the childish attitude of the OM, i think I’ll have to pull my own sutures out and find another dermatologist.
It’s a shame too because the rest of the staff seemed great.
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this dermatology office. From the start, the front staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The lack of communication between the medical assistants and doctors was apparent, making the entire visit feel disorganized.
I came in seeking help for severe acne that I’ve struggled with for seven years. I was hoping for a thoughtful, personalized approach. Unfortunately, Dr. Lisa Zaleski-Larson immediately dismissed my concerns, disregarded my medical history (depression and IBS), and spoke to me in a condescending manner. She showed no bedside manner and no interest in actually helping me. Instead, she pushed oral antibiotics (which I had an allergic reaction to) and birth control. When I expressed that I wasn’t comfortable with Accutane just yet and wanted to explore the root cause of my acne, I was told “There is nothing more we can do for you at this office.”
Her attitude was passive-aggressive, and it was clear she was in a hurry and had no interest in addressing my concerns as a whole person. If you’re looking for a dermatologist who actually listens and cares, I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere.
