I came here twice during my weekend trip in San Diego! The service was exceptional and the servers were very knowledgeable. They recommended great options for me both time! We love oyster samplers, Peruvian scallops, and Spanish octopus. They are so fresh!! Cioppino (seafood in shellfish broth) and lobster roll were also very good. They also have non-alcoholic option for each of the cocktail list. The ambiance was amazing with vintage classic style decorations. We will definitely come back if we are in San Diego!
Def ask for the bread because wow. I wasn’t expecting the bread to be so good. We loved the clam chowder. It was so creamy and delicious and one of the best I’ve ever had outside of New England. Highly recommend. We also enjoyed the lobster roll. The bread was crispy and the mixture was so fresh and refreshing. We absolutely RAVED about a few items on the grand platter too such as the Peruvian bay scallops. I’d eat that all day and night. Overall the menu was delicious and everyone loved their meals. Would def go back.
Excellent seafood restaurant with a great ambiance. Whole fish, great raw bar, lobster roll, sushi, etc. everything you’d want from a nice seafood place, and the menu is updated daily. Definitely give the Spanish octopus appetizer a try. I’ve been here many times over the years living downtown and everything is always perfect. I enjoy their large windows being open during the day; it’s made for some pleasant lunches enjoying the weather and people watching. The service is always great. Highly recommend.
i enjoyed it. definitely on a list to visit again when in the area. the staff were very nice and very helpful. ate at the bar, since waiting for a seat would have been an hour.
the spiny lobster, seasonal, was tender and cooked well. the staff gave me a cocktail fork and nut cracker to help with getting the most out of the lobster. along with the clam chowder, definitely felt i ate too much, yet enjoyed every bite.
hadn’t seen the 2nd floor for the rest of the dinner seating, but very pleased during at the bar. bartenders were all very personable.
Take a look at the photo. At first sight it might look fantastic but some of the shrimps were very small and not in good shape. All 6 shrimps are supposed to be similar in quality. What the heck were they thinking when they were plating this platter? They so we asked and they got some mew shrimps. Not only that, the napkins got some stains on it which is nasty
