I recently grabbed some takeout from this curry spot, and I’ve got to say, it was a solid experience overall. The portion size was impressive—tons of rice that made it a hearty meal, perfect for digging into after a long day. The lamb, though, was just okay; it wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t blow me away either—could’ve been a bit more tender or flavorful. The sauce, however, was the real standout, probably an 8/10—rich and well-spiced, it tied everything together nicely without overwhelming the dish. For a no-fuss, satisfying curry fix, this place delivers, even if the lamb left me wanting a little more.
Frustrating and Disappointing Experience – Poor Restaurant Policy
I was really looking forward to dining here, but my experience was nothing short of frustrating. I arrived at 8:30 PM, a full hour before closing, only to be told that they had already stopped allowing dine-in customers.
This policy makes absolutely no sense. If the restaurant officially closes at 9:30 PM, why would they refuse to seat customers an hour earlier? Nowhere on their website or signage did they mention this restriction, leaving me and others completely caught off guard. It felt unfair and unprofessional.
To make things worse, the staff showed no empathy. Instead of offering any reasonable explanation or alternative, they simply said, “We’re not taking dine-in orders anymore.” No apology, no courtesy—just a flat-out refusal. If they plan to stop seating customers an hour before closing, they should be transparent about it.
A restaurant should focus on customer service, not inconvenience paying guests. I left feeling unwelcome and frustrated, and I definitely won’t be coming back. If you’re looking for a reliable dining experience, I’d suggest going elsewhere.
Place makes some AMAZING food! Lunch Special for $13?! I make two meals out of it so it only ends up costing me $6.50 per meal. The staff are polite. Clean restaurant. Quick service. Will DEFINITELY be coming back soon and will update with pics before I eat it 😅
Update: 2nd time there. Polite staff, delicious food, and quick service! This was at 2:00 PM on a Monday. This time I got something where I could choose the spice level, it seemed like an 8 to me 🙂
Update: I’ve been here several times now and realized two visits ago I was being charged more than $13 + tax for the lunch special. I asked about this and was informed it needs to be different curries. This time around I ordered one karahi and the other masala. Was charged $16 again. I asked why this time and it turns out you need to order one chicken curry and one vegetable curry for that price. I don’t know why he didn’t tell me the first time I asked for the price difference and only told me it needs to be different curries. If you order two chicken curries, which I have been doing, they’ll charge you $16. I would always tip a couple dollars, but I will not anymore for all future visits. I will say he did change the price the first time I asked, so that was appreciated. Not cool they just up-charge without informing you it’ll be more than the $13.
Stumbled on this place a few weeks back. And have continued to come back. Their food is really good. Also they have a great lunch special. Love their vegetable samosas.
The food was incredible!!! The $13 lunch special was for enough for 2 people. Gary took his time explaining the menu and the items as I am not familiar with Indian cuisine. I will definitely be back!
