The Pool House

Went to pool house today for a Sunday funday per usual as we are regulars, we go frequently; and as a bartender myself I am disappointed even having to write this as I am in the industry myself, we went for girlfriends birthday, and decided to start at the bar before we got our cabana/table, bartender with colored green/blue eyes, dark hair, and arm tattoo was incredibly rude! I actually couldn’t believe it, before we even ordered “cash or card” abruptly asked prior to ordering. I then asked for Tito’s , without finishing she interrupted and mentioned the didn’t have Tito’s “we have sky” with such an ugly and disgusted look on her face, I then asked for grey goose. She ignored and continued to pour it. She had poor communication and horrible customer service. She was in such a rush to get us out of her way she ran our card so quickly it didn’t read correctly and went out of her way to shout our card declined to try and degrade and embarrass us. We quickly saw the charge and if she took a moment to look at the printer she would have seen it printed and ran the card accordingly. I understand working in a fast pace environment but she seemed absolutely miserable and unhappy. You know what you signed up for taking this job so therefore you should be able to keep up with customer service and friendliness. Her attitude was so ugly we continued ordering drinks from Mariana instead who was great! 🙂 we decided not to tip her and wrote a note on her customer service to maybe help with her future customers to correct her attitude but she probably threw it away! Never going to her again she truly seemed like she was in hell.

Came here for a Happy Hour a few months ago. The scene is great, the layout and ambiance as well. However, the wait for the food was outrageous. We waited an hour to get a lobster roll and some sashimi and oysters. Everyone was nice and apologetic, but it was still irritating to wait so long nonetheless. The food, once we did get it, was quite good. I especially liked the sashimi and lobster roll. I’m sure we’ll come back again, but probably after the summer rush, when the kitchen flow can be more manageable.

Crazy Beautiful Pool spot with a fun Beautiful, and helpful staff! This pool has a cool beach club type vibe, with delicious drinks and cocktails and food. Gonna book a room at the Pendry next time I’m in SD just because of the atmosphere and experience here at The Pool House.
