I’ve been coming here for I think 7 years. We drive from out of state and always make this a stop on our trip.
Last weekend was my first time back since last March. Typically the açaí bowls are topped with fresh fruit. This weekend my bowl was full of flavorless mushy blueberries skins. When we asked about it, we were told they switched to frozen and that is how they are when they thaw out 🤮 such a disappointment. They did offer a cup full of frozen blueberries.. but it’s just not the same and they have zero flavor. If you guys switch back to fresh fruit, I’ll be back ✌️
If you’re in San Diego and looking for a healthy drink or snack, this is the spot. They offer a variety of options, including juices, acai bowls, and smoothies. We sampled the Beets by Dre juice, and it was fantastic—perfectly balanced with a delightful sweetness and a refreshing kick of ginger. We’re excited to return and explore more of their menu!
P.S the names on their menu are super interesting
This place is off the charts. Amazing! They have everything you would need for quick liquid pick me up. From smoothies to açai bowls to nitro coffee and all the vintage arcade games you can shake a stick at for free. Come check out the Mad beat. You won’t be disappointed.
Mad Beet has been my favorite fruit bowl/ smoothie place in PB since 2013!! I love the menu names, the free play on arcade games and the overall vibe! I am still working on trying out everything on the menu but Bananas Foster the People bowl is by far my favorite and I love to add peanut butter to it!! Abbalicious and Celine Dijon are my go to wraps!
Wow first time coming here and plan on making it my usual spot!
I have so many food allergies and it can be difficult finding a place that’s accommodating. Everything I ordered was able to be adjusted and the folks here are so kind and helpful 🙂
