Had an amazing meal at The Fishery! If you go, you have to try the macadamia nut halibut—it’s crispy, flavorful, and just perfect. The cocktails were just as good—super well-made and a great complement to the meal. The whole vibe of the place is warm and inviting, and our server was just lovely, making it a great spot for a nice dinner. Definitely recommend!

Went here after a friend raved about this place. Went on a Saturday evening. Recommend making a reservation at least 2-3 days in advance because otherwise it would be really hard to find seatings.

We got couple cocktails, calamari, mussels, fish and chips and rock crab fettuccine.

The calamari and mussels were great. I especially loved the mussels- the green curry flavor was on point. Not fishy at all.

The fettuccine unfortunately was extremely salty. The pasta noodle tasted good, but the sauce was too salty that that’s all I noticed eating the dish. It was disappointing. The fish and chips were good.

Service wise. They uncharged 4% for service fee. But I noticed some delay in getting things we asked (asked for sliced lemon with water and extra bread- the lemon required extra nudge before it came out, and the bread came out after we finished our meal…). Also, I asked for a blanket because of the chilly weather, and the blanket I got had a really bad musty odor to it, so I couldn’t use it.

But other than these minor things, food tasted good for the most part, and the ambiance was good. Everyone was very kind.

I’ve been here many times over the past several years. The service has been improved upon tremendously over the years. It just keeps getting better and better. The food is outstanding as always. Lucy was our waitress last night and the entire experience was excellent. She made so many great suggestions and paid a beautiful wine with our Swordfish entree (large enough to share). Go all in and “treat yo’self.” Order like you are at a tapas bar and just get every single item you want to try, I would be happy with one of everything on the menu if I could pull it off. Share with your friends! The food and presentation are incredible. So grateful to live within walking distance. Great community restaurant with high quality standards. Highly recommend.

I think this was my favourite meal during my whole trip in San Diego.

The service was fantastic and the waiters really know the food well and are able to guide you through the menu to choose something you’ll enjoy. We were seated outside but there was heaters and also blankets available since it was a bit chilly.

I got the diver scallops, swordfish, and some hand rolls. All were cooked perfectly and really highlighted the high quality seafood that the Fishery has to offer.

    I highly recommend coming here!

Great place! Seafood centric, kind of obvious, but everything was really good. I opted for their version of fish and chips and I was really happy with the halibut offering. Chips were great, all my friends were also really happy with their meals. We had two appetizers, the clams and the octopus and they were top notch. The clams came with a slightly spicy sauce that we needed extra bread to sop up. The octopus was delicate and cooked just right. My friends were happy with their two fish entrees and a Caesar salad and a tartare dish. We also shared a lemon tart for dessert which was excellent. Will come back if I’m in San Diego area again.
