I recently had my home tented for termites by Terminix. From start to finish, the Terminix team was professional, efficient, and thorough.
On the day of the tenting, the crew arrived on time and took great care in setting up the tent around my home, ensuring that everything was sealed properly.
They also provided clear instructions on what to do before and after the tenting process, which made everything so much easier.
My wife and I were with these clowns for over 2 decades. My wife recently passed away (a year ago). Unfortunately, I had neglected to pay the annual in July. I was late by 7 months. Their stated grace period was 6 months. So they said I would have to come under a new contract and new home inspection. At the end of multi conversations they offered to give me a “free” inspection but I would have to go with the current annual rate. I am now looking for a new organization. Note: I wasn’t looking for a sweet deal from them. But their zero compassion and added money grab for my situation was a bridge too far. I will find another company even if I have to pay more. I don’t care. They had no loyalty to me so I have no loyalty to them.
On May 5, I met with Felipe Mercado, who performed a full and thorough inspection of my home for termites. Mr. Mercado greeted me with kind words and explained what his inspection would involve. He also stated that he would provide a written diagram report for me to consider should I go with his company, TERMINIX.
For more than an hour or so, Mr. Mercado poked and shined a light in areas of my home looking for termite infestation. When he found termites, he summoned me to show the area where I had active termites. I must say that I was glad that it was not a hot day as Felipe spent a great deal of time in my attic. He stated that he had posted a note, informing the next company who I was getting an estimate from that he had in fact inspected the attic.
After my last estimate was completed, I decided to go with TERMINIX even though they were more expensive than the last two bids. I felt the quality of inspection that was performed could be trusted. After the inspection was completed, Mr. Mercado provided me with a diagram of all areas of termite activity. Those areas required that new fascia and flat boards be removed, and new ones painted and replaced.
A gentleman from Santa Ana came to replace all of the damaged wood. Jose worked alone, but he was meticulous and knew how to manipulate the heaviest of wood to attach to my home without any assistance; he was incredibly agile.
Once the wood was replaced, Felipe provided me with a video on how to prepare my home for tenting: bagging food items was most important, while staying in touch with me during this entire process from beginning to end.
Finally, I can definitely say that I had a smooth, uneventful process in having my house tented. And the cost associated with the wood replacement and tenting supported my budget.

If you’re looking for great customer service, honest answers to your questions, and a great experience overall, then Caleb C. is the one you want! My elderly dad setup an appt for his house and I was concerned he didn’t get all the info. When Caleb arrived to do the inspection and talk about treatment plans, I was working and unable to step away. My sister was visiting from the bay and thankfully had the chance to speak with Caleb before he left. Fast fwd a few days and I text Caleb that I have questions too. He makes an extra trip back to my Dad’s house to meet with me, put all my worries at ease, and evens asked to see my Dad again to make sure any last min concerns were addressed.
It’s one thing to do your job and answer questions, but the fact that Caleb answered multiple questions from all of us (I’m sure repeated the same info many times), all the while showing patience and kindness really sets the bar high. Talk about going above and beyond! He texted me the next day when to expect the treatment team, and again answered a new question I had. He made an excellent impression and I highly recommend working with Caleb if you’re considering work on your home.
