I had a great experience at this Tender Greens. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice, quiet ambiance. I especially liked the candlelight on each table, which created a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The food was excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad was dressed just right. The mashed potatoes and gravy were also delicious. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.
I would definitely recommend this Tender Greens for a healthy and tasty meal. I will definitely return when I am in the area again.
This Tender Greens location has a special place in my heart because it’s one of the first restaurants my husband took me to when we were dating (8+ years ago).
I’ve never heard of tender greens until he introduced it to me and I’ve been in love ever since!
Tonight — I opted for the holiday special steak bowl with cauliflower and green beans. Everything was cooked to perfection — from my medium rare steak to the slight crunch of the string beans. This place always gets it right. The cauliflower is also worth mentioning because it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, a light sauce was added for flavor and I loved it.
I want to give a special shout out to Enrique who provided amazing customer service. He’s super friendly, was honest about the menu and made sure we had a great dinner experience.
What sets this location apart from the others I’ve been to, is it’s never busy (at least when I go). The food is ALWAYS fresh and cooked perfectly. Plus, Enrique asked me how I wanted my protein cooked and no other location has asked me that before. Kudos to this man!
Even my picky toddler enjoys the food here. The only downside about this restaurant is the parking. There is extremely limited parking and a laz parking lot next to it, but you have to pay. It’s expected though because it’s in downtown sd.
The ambiance is clean, inviting and plenty of seating available. I also love the high ceilings and architecture of this place.
We will definitely be back 🙂
this was the worst dinner i have ever eaten in my life! the disgustingly bad food and poor service did their job. i wanted to eat a normal plate, to which i was told they were takeout only, but i could eat in the establishment. then they didn’t have mashed potatoes. the food they made for me didn’t seem fresh and was cold. and the person at the register was rude. it was so awful! i don’t recommend going there to anyone.
I wanted to have a healthy meal that tasted good, and I was very surprised at how this branch of Tender Greens was able to provide that. The steak was flavorful, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The salad was light, and the green juice was tasty. There was plenty of seating, and the food was served quickly. It would be nice if their Wi-Fi worked instead of relying upon the open network of a neighboring hotel, but otherwise, I have no complaints.
Chicken bowl arrived entirely cold. I watched my order get marked as complete and get picked up and delivered within 5 minutes. I paid for priority delivery and my courier came straight to my hotel .2 miles away. Normally I would just reheat food but I have no microwave. Uber provided 0 resolution so I called in to see if they could rectify it, and the girl who picked up decided to escalate it to a manager after I explained how my food arrived. The manager was immediately defensive and rude, nor was she attentive or receptive to what I was actually trying to convey to her at any point. I did not throw a fit and just explained to her the situation. I was met with the old “unfortunately I can’t do anything” and a catalogue of excuses and reasons why it’s all Uber’s fault. She told me my courier probably didn’t come straight here. I told her he did because I paid for priority and watched him, and again she insisted he didn’t. As if? She pressed several times that she always encourages people to order directly through them (even though they don’t provide delivery?). I ordered through Uber for a reason, I’m sick in my hotel and just want something to eat. She kept insisting she couldn’t refund me even though at no point did I ask for a refund, I told her I just wanted warm food. She eventually and reluctantly suggested she could provide a gift card. I gladly agreed and said I can try to figure out how to pick it up. Then at the end she tells me it will take a few business days to arrive to my email. As if that’s helpful for getting food right now? Completely useless “resolution” and not kind at all in the process. I tried to reason with her but it felt like she was intent on not actually helping me. Not a good experience at all.
