They are so professional through and through. Upon walking in, they present you with a sketch to ensure that you parked appropriately in the lot. In the world of bad timing, I was on a naturopathic doctor guided health cleanse and could not consume sugar and not too much rice. The servers and chef were so accommodating. Chef Takeaki was committed to me still being able to enjoy my experience. I felt truly taken care of by the staff. The omakase was excellent quality, flavor, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I am very critical of sushi and I loved it here!
It’s been many years since I first ate at Sushi Tadokaro, but sensei has not lost his touch! His Omakase was brilliant many years ago and it was again brilliant at my most recent visit. Who knew that baby barracuda could be so delicious! Of course the uni from the California waters was creamy and delicious as it was many years ago. Make sure you make an appointment 1 month before on Tock when reservations open. Run don’t walk here and don’t be out off by the fact that it is located in a somewhat ratty, tiny strip mall and is located next to a liquor store. It’s chairman to find off you’ve never been.
Sushi was good. I was not blown away. For a Michelin rates restaurant i expected better sushi. The service was excellent and i love the almost hole in the wall atmosphere.
Be mindful that parking is very limited as you can see in the photo.
Wow! Great things can come in small pkgs. Tucked in a tiny grubby strip mall at the edge of old town. You’ll miss this place if you don’t already have a reservation (required) and a clue what you’re looking for. The Omakase seating is worth the $165 per person price tag. You can order off the regular menu but the experience really comes from the multi-course chef’s choice service.
Had a lovely omakase experience with Chef Tadokoro himself! Was very full after our meal and had many high quality pieces of fish. Chef was friendly and skilled.
