Cool place with a great surfer vibe! Places like this in my opinion define San Diego and the surf culture. I got the sandwich “just the tip” and it was good, not great or fantastic but it was good. I would get it again. The decor was awesome and it just made the place that much more cool. My friends and I enjoyed looking around and we all had something different which made it more interesting to check out the different dishes. I would recommend this place for sure.
Haven’t been here in a long long time. Last time was when there was a place called Brown Bag Deli that occupied it. Loved their sandwiches. My favorite was the meatball sub. So anyway, I ordered one from Surf Side. Was probably one of the best if not the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Please don’t ever shut down. This will now be my go to spot for that sandwich. Now I want to try all of them. Go get a meatball sub there. You will not be disappointed.
Definitely recommend this place, tried to only eat half the sandwich but I couldn’t because it was so good. I would 100% go back.
If you’re in the area definitely give it a try. Got two of their most popular sandwiches, both solid choices. Not the best I’ve ever had but definitely a great choice in the area. Standard sandwich spot with fresh ingredients.
