5 stars for this gem in the heart of Little Italy.
We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. We sat in the patio and were served the best Ciopinno we’ve had. The pizza crust was the best and the pasta was phenomenal.
If that wasn’t enough, the service was amazing. My daughter spilled olive oil on the table and they were so quick to clean it and to comfort my daughter. They even gave her bread pudding to feel better.
I recommend this place 100%.
Nice place for happy hour! Attentive staff and great food. I had the Margherita pizza and a meatball. I also had a Hugo to drink. All were quick to receive and delicious. Great experience.
On my last night in town I walked down to Sorrento Ristorante for dinner. The food was hot and fresh from the kitchen. I ordered off of the special menu for the evening and enjoyed my plates. The service was friendly and personal and they were able to answer my questions and make recommendations. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice as I sat out on the patio and enjoying the fresh air.
We had ravioli all aragosta and cannelloni di carne. The ravioli was very creamy almost too rich, the cannelloni was ok, we had ordered it with no extra sauce on top and they bought it out with extra sauce. They remade it but the waiter first snapped at us and after that the he ignored us for the rest of our dinner. Loved the bread and the sauce that came with it!
Inside and outside seating, large menu. Lots of heaters outside.
Saw this place on my google reviews and was torn between this one and another. Overall was not too impressed but not too disappointed either. What tipped the scale was their happy hour menu. I arrived & asked for the patio seat, it was a very nice day but the sun was blaring full on & I asked for the shade to be lowered because they did it for the guest on the other side but sadly they didn’t do it for me. A nice little touch was they brought some chilled water in a bottle along with some bread and some delicious spicy marinara sauce to start. They give you a plethora of menus to look at and I had to ask for the happy hour one. I ordered the octopus salad, very tasty and delicious. The drinks were ok, nothing special. They kind of lacked the predominant flavor they were promoting. Service was nice. The atmosphere was simple and nice could have used a bit more character. The music was a change from your typical cliche Italian restaurant which was nice. The bakery side was very clean and organized. My honest review is a neutral one. They have got their basics down good but nothing spectacular stands out.
