5-Stars all around. SoCal Fence is an awesome multigenerational family run small business (father, son + nephew/cousin). They hammered out my 64 foot x 6 foot high cedar slat fence in one day! Old fence removal and new fence installation! I was looking for a much more extravagant composite fence but Jeff explained to me why it was unnecessary and showed me a much better and cheaper solution. One of our key concerns was termites. “No problem.” Jeff had all the lumber pretreated with Borates and double painted on all sides offsite before installation. Every step of the way SoCal Fence was an excellent counterpart. They did excellent work. They delivered on time. Their price was competitive. The fence looks amazing! They were a pleasure to deal with. And they successfully navigated the toxic next door neighbor with grace and professionalism which was impressive! Job well done SoCal Fence! See you in 25-years 🙂

Jeff is great. He was responsive and reliable throughout the entire process. A pretty friendly and laid-back guy with a sense of humor, too.
The first time I asked him for a quote, I unfortunately wasn’t home. He still inspected the fence and gave me a quote.
I later revisited things and he came back out to assess, along with his crew so they too were able to see what they were getting themselves into.
It took awhile to get to that second visit due people being out of town, illnesses, etc.; nonetheless, we made it work and kept it in touch.
He offered alternative solutions to help me save money and prolong the life of the fence (needed 10 fence posts to be replaced, where Postmater galvanized steel was used to fortify the wooden posts from the inside of the yard, along with a full replacement of a portion of the fence.)
Him and his guys worked quickly and efficiently.
I would do business with him again, and would recommend him to my friends.
As of January 2024:
had some issues with my fence post not closing correctly, and the wood falling apart where the latch was – not sure what happened there but i wasn’t blaming Jeff/SoCal Fence for the matter.
Nonetheless, I reached out to Jeff about 13 months after he had replaced my fence, even though the issue had been going on for 2-3 months or so. He was still just a quick and responsive, and was more than happy to come out and replace things as needed even though he typically warranties within a 12-month timeframe – no pushback, no issues whatsoever. All I needed to do was send him a picture of the fence cap that was having issues and he got things repaired. Couldn’t be happier with the way this went.
Seeing him again was such a breath of fresh air – a genuinely nice, easygoing guy. The only fencing guy I would trust.
I’m very happy with my new fence and gates. They look much more professional than before and work a lot better too. David was easy to communicate with and helped me figure out a solution for what I needed. The price seemed very reasonable.
We had just moved into our new house and inherited a fence that was basically hanging on by a thread.
We really wanted to work with a local crew, and Jeff from So Cal Fence impressed us right away.
Super personable guy, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable, he took some thorough measurements and immediately knew which areas would need a little more attention and gave a clear picture of what to expect cost & time wise.
When it was time to start the project, everything was seamless, demo first day, metal post set up day 2, and fence install days 3/4.
It was really cool seeing a family business work together, with Jeff’s 2 sons and a cousin taking part in the project.
I can’t recommend these guys enough, really an awesome experience from start to finish.
I found Modesto Ayala Fence on Google and reached out in hopes he could expand the length of an existing fence. He responded promptly and professionally with a visit and an estimate. We stayed in touch throughout the waiting process until his available date. The crew showed up on time and completed the job one day earlier than expected. Modesto and his son, Joshua, checked in throughout the job to keep me informed and to inquire about my satisfaction at the progress. They framed, installed, and painted the fence, left the work area as neat and they found it, and visited the next day to double check the work. Supporting a family-owned company feels great, but, in this case, it feels even better because the work is exceptional. I would not hesitate to recommend Modesto for hire.
