WARNING!!!! BAIT AND SWITCH!! This was the strangest experience of my life with medical professionals. I called this office, the location on Google said Hillcrest Washington st. Day of the appointment, I find out it’s in CHULA VISTA. Every one of the positive comments on this office is about Dr. Phan, which is not the Dr. at the office associated with the number. It’s a Dr. Chet. I get to my appointment and they tell me it’s a $600!!!! Dollar appointment fee and if my insurance covers anything, they will send me a check. WHAT?! That’s MENTAL and not how insurance works. I look up the OGBYN office reviews that I’m at, and Dr. Chet has ABYSMAL reviews!!! I was so confused what just happened, how I ended up in Chula vista and why they are charging me $600 for a basic OBGYN visit, so I walked out.
LOL to the front managers comment back 😂. Only makes their office look worse. I called 3 different OBGYN’s after and they all said “no that’s crazy to charge $600 up front, that’s not how medical insurance works” They gas light you into thinking that’s how your insurance works. It does not. This place is bad news. I plan on reporting them so it’s looked into. I paid my $25 deductible at the new office.
I cannot thank Dr. Phan and the entire staff at PHI for Women enough for the care that they provided throughout my entire pregnancy, during labor and now postpartum. I am by nature a fairly anxious person, and this being my first pregnancy I had a ton of questions and concerns along the way. Dr. Phan was always incredibly thorough in explaining everything, giving me all of my options and making sure that I left my appointments without any remaining questions. There were several times that I called the office with somewhat silly questions, and she always called me back personally to answer them and make sure I felt ok. When it came to labor she guided me through the whole process, again, explaining all options thoroughly and clearly. My labor experience was truly wonderful thanks to her guidance and the energy that she brought to the room. She is not only an incredible doctor, but she is also kind, patient and down to earth. I would highly recommend her to any expecting mamas!
Dr Phan was my obgyn for my entire pregnancy and I would not have changed it for the world. Your always greeted by a friendly face, office and waiting room is so clean and welcoming. I felt very connected to the assistant helping me with my vitals, she always asked how I was, how the babies father was. Even after he was born. They remember little aspects of your life that make me feel like they really care.
Dr phan is super efficient, this was my first pregnancy and she made me feel very at easy and managed to answer all my questions. I will definitely be back when I’m ready for baby #2
I first came to see Dr. Phan when I was about 3months pregnant. My previous OB/GYN was not delivering babies after the end of 2019, and my son was due in 2020. I am so glad she referred me to Dr. Phan.
I had hyperemesis during my pregnancy so I had pretty severe nausea until about 32weeks. Dr. Phan helped me get on a medication path that made my symptoms more manageable. She’s a wonderful doctor and she made me feel heard and taken care of.
The whole team at Physicians Health Institute for Women are amazing. Always helpful, friendly and professional. I would and have recommended this practice to my friends and family.
Don’t go to Tiffani Phan unless you want a c section, because that is what she’ll give you if there’s any type of hiccups in your labor. She lacked empathy, manners, and decency when dealing with my wife. She doesn’t know how to speak to people. People with her type of attitude shouldn’t be doctors. It didn’t come off like she even likes people or wants to help them. She may be technically skilled but she is not a good person ! ( we experienced her when we went to Scripps mercy hospital )
