Mel Kurtulus is my gynecologist more than 7 years . I had a C- Section and two other operations with him.. He saved my life with his right diagnose on time . He is very knowledgeable and always take time to answer my detailed questions. He is very patient and friendly. He has all the ethical values that a medical doctor needs to have. He cares about your health more than anything else . He calls you personally if he finds any suspicious test results till he reaches you. .I am so lucky to have an amazing doctor like him. His front office is also amazing and always so helpfull. They always take care of my appointments and insurance questions very well although I am a very hard patient to deal with 🙂
I highly recommend him and his team if you have high expectations!
Dr. Kurtulus was my surgeon for two robotic myomectomies, one in 2017 and a recent one in 2023. Especially this second surgery was for a very large fibroid, in a difficult location and resulted in a complex surgery, which Dr. Kurtulus performed wonderfully. He is a great and very experienced surgeon and I felt like I was in the best possible hands. Recovery was without complications and considering all things, I was up and walking in no time. It was a huge relief to get this surgery done, which I had delayed for a while. Dr. Kurtulus’ follow-up was thorough and it was of great comfort to know that he was just a call or text message away for any post-op questions or concerns. Thank you!
I called the office 5 separate times on 2 separate days to make an appointment and no one answered any of my calls. I received an email to schedule an appointment hours after I left a voicemail. I found this incredibly impersonal and unhelpful. When I asked someone to call, they did, and said they are short staffed so everyone has to leave a voice message. This is no way to handle patient care.
First, I want to say that Dr. Caitlin Bruce is amazing and did not make me feel rushed, listened to any concerns I had and was overall great.
Unfortunately, the rest of the office staff that I met was unprofessional, disorganized and unhelpful. The woman who checked me in was loudly gossiping about other patients with her coworker while I waited and it was pretty off-putting for a medical office. On top of that, the scheduling system seems to be a nightmare and my appointment was re-scheduled and canceled multiple times with very little warning. I understand that things happen and sometimes people get double booked or an emergency come up but this happened more than once. I ended up having to go to an ER to get the test I needed done and paid far more out of pocket because my appointment got canceled even though I scheduled it a month in advance. It’s a bummer because Dr. Caitlin Bruce was great but I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
