Rockin’ Baja Lobster – Old Town is a popular restaurant often recommended by locals and tourists alike. Naturally, we decided to try their signature Big Baja Bucket, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The flavors were vibrant and rich, showcasing the best of Baja-style seafood.
One unique highlight of this restaurant is their self-serve salsa bar, which features an impressive variety of options. My personal favorite was the grilled green onions—they were smoky, flavorful, and complemented the seafood perfectly. The festive ambiance and friendly service make it an excellent choice for a fun and satisfying dining experience in Old Town.
This Baja seafood restaurant had a crazy vibe, great food, friendly service, and a large dining room. Their dining room had enough seats for big groups, a decent bar, a self-serve station with a few delicious free sides, and lovely decorations. Highly recommend their Big Baja bucket. The menu marked this bucket for 2-3 ppl, but it was enough for 4 people. This combo came with lobsters, steaks, shrimps, corns, rice, and fried ice cream. Their seafood was fresh and juicy, but steaks were terrible overcooked like a dry wood. Calamari appetizer was decent and crispy with limes. Their free chips were authentic with their impressive mango salsa. The grilled peppers sides were also delicious.
Excellent service and extremely festive. We really enjoyed dining here. The menu offers a huge variety of fusion dishes such as Cajun seafood boil combined with Mexican grilled meats like carne asada. We got the Baja bucket. It came with so much food including a fried ice cream dessert. Everything was delicious. The salsa bar was fantastic. I particularly loved their pineapple salsa. I can’t wait to go back and try other items.
Food is packed with amazing taste and flavors. The atmosphere was friendly and cozy. Perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends and family. Can’t wait to visit San Diego again. Rockin’ Baja is definitely going to be part of my itinerary!
Food here was great and the staff was amazing. Had the lobster roll and it was great. My wife and kids enjoyed their meals also! Really nice restaurant and staff and food was great. So happy we visited her on our trip!!
