AMAZING tacos!!! Stopped here to eat a small, quick lunch in the afternoon. It was definitely quick, but not as small as we were expecting. We were not disappointed!!! The tacos were so fresh and were much larger than we were expecting. I ordered 2 and struggled to finish both of them. The amount of food is fantastic for the price you pay! It was a cute shop and offered an outdoor area. Co-workers travel here often for work and are always looking for a place to wat near the airport; I will definitely be recommending Roberto’s to them!
My wife and I have been to Roberto’s a couple times in the last few weeks. This is our new (and only) “go-to” place for Mexican food. The bean & cheese burrito is huge and delicious! The chicken tacos are fresh and full! (Most other places serve half empty tacos). The bean & cheese dip is super! The people have been very nice. Service is fast. And the food is GREAT!! HIGHLY recommend!!!!
So many spots to choose from out here in San Diego. This wouldn’t be my choice or make my list.. Friendly staff but the taste just wasn’t there and their “chips and cheese” is literally chips with shredded cheese on it… we even asked before ordering to specify if it was queso style or not and this is what they brought out.. I have never seen that at a Mexican Restaurant in my entire life.. and to charge $6.80 for that!? 🤯
I eat here Bout 5 times a week. Everything is top notch. Call it in. Im from Sa Diego and remember when poser taco shops called themselves “Robertos” to pose as this legit operation. My favorites are the Machaca, Chile relleno burrito. Chimichanga. Bean and cheese. All the toastadas. Chorizo burrito. Bean cheese and egg breakfast burrito is my newest favorite. Sometimes I wanna spend less and get that bean and cheese and it hits the spot. I eat a carne asada burrito with extra lettuce for lunch 5-10 times a month. Nice people great food. Do it.
To be honest I was not feeling tacos most of my trip but an exception once we were close to Roberto’s! This is a great taco shop, the portions are generous and the price is on par with all other shops in the area. I had the surf and turf as well as a half order of the carne asada fries. The burrito was full of flavor and a very tasty sauce as well as other items in it that you can opt in/out on. The fries were the gem! The meat was cooked to perfection and the multi cheeses were a nice touch. Def will be back once I am in town again.
