Rina Jain, MD, FRCSC – Synergy Orthopedics

Not only is Dr Rina Jain an excellent surgeon, she’s a kind and compassionate care giver. I know other doctors that have gone to her for hip replacement, all with great results. I was a professional dancer and my hip injury was making me feel old before my time. I’ve always been very active and teach yoga now and having Dr. Jain do my hip surgery two years ago was the best decision I ever made. I tell my clients all the time how on the ball she was, above and beyond what I ever would have expected. And then on top of all that wonderful praise, she took the time to tell me, as I’m laying on the operating table in the sterile surgery room, while being surrounded with the other nurses in their “haz-mat” suits, which makes them look like space aliens, Dr Jain remained in her scrubs until I was under anesthesia. It was a small thing, but seeing her smiling face before I went under kept me calm. She didn’t have to do that, but she did, and it helped to ease my fears. This was my 1st major surgery, and she helped me feel confident going in.

Now that I’m two years out, I’m able to exercise 7 days a week, when I want and I have limitations. My right leg is still a bit weaker but my yoga practice and working with a pilates trainer have gotten me back to feeling like my old self again. This morning I”m going to a dance class and two years ago, walking two blocks was a challenge.

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Jain for providing excellent care in treating my son’s shoulder. She was wonderful and professional! It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and compassionate care for her patient as a person with extraordinary quality of medical knowledge and experience.
