I came to Pro+Kinetix last December after suffering a running injury during an international marathon. I had never been to PT before, but decided to give it a try because I desperately wanted to be able to run again!
I met with Dr. Naomi and after working with her for a couple months now I have returned to running & have gotten stronger with each week of programming!
Dr. Naomi is great to work with and has a keen sense of assessment. She’s really personalized my program to fit my needs and I feel very confident that my marathon running days aren’t over yet!
For anyone that’s considering this program, I highly recommend it! It is definitely worth the investment!
Thank you Pro-Kinetix!!
Dr. Naomi is amazing! I went in because I had discomfort and minor pain in my neck for almost a year. The self care I was doing helped but it never went away. When I came in we did a thorough assessment, she showed me some exercises and stretches to help release my neck and upper shoulders, and we even looked at some of my strength training workouts to correct form and make sure the right muscles are targeted. I was really sore after but the next day my discomfort and pain was gone! She was like a little miracle worker! Definitely recommend (just plan to arrive 20 minutes earlier or more for parking and getting there).
Before I started working with Naomi, I was having trouble doing what I loved: running. The fact that she works directly with me – and not some assistant – made me decide to start physical therapy again. Her initial assessment was tremendously helpful and our ongoing sessions continue to build my strength.
I look forward to my sessions and Naomi always takes the time to ensure I am making the right progress. She’s great at challenging me in a kind way to keep getting stronger too. That’s a rare skill.
I am stronger and running again. Naomi has helped me get in the best shape of my life – and feel grateful to work with her. I wouldn’t hesitate to make the same decision to get therapy with Pro+Kinetix
over and over again.
Thank you to Naomi and the team for making my life better.
I came to Dr. Naomi after years of battling IT band issues that flared up any time I tried to get back into running. Dr. Naomi quickly got to the root of the issue and gave me a workout/stretching regimen to address it. When we started working together I could run about 3-4 miles comfortably. After a few weeks of working together I gradually added miles and within 3 months was running pain free for 40-50 miles per week. At month 4, I ran a marathon and not only finished but finished faster than I had ever expected (and pain free)! I could not recommend Dr. Naomi more. She is knowledgeable, kind, and aligns her treatment with your goals. In my experience, doctors have often said to eliminate the source (in my case running) instead of finding a way through the issue. Dr. Naomi gave me a science-based approach to continue running and built a foundation for an injury-free future. If an injury is keeping you from pursuing your passion, give Pro+Kinetix a call.
Caring, empathetic and professional physical therapy found here!
I love competiting and being the best i cam be. I swam in college and have struggle with some knee issues since then. I was able to work it out in college but post college picked up running and obstacle racing and it got exponentially worse. To the point that I wasn’t able to do a good squat, was afraid to do somethings because of the pain. I spent the last year watching YouTube and looking for methods to help and decided to give Pro+Kinetix a try with Dr. Naomi. It was different than other programs. The first visit she showed me that the typical concern of “am i going to be stuck doing this forever and paying more than i want” was not the case with her and this program. She helped identify a plan comprising of what she thought was wrong, the minimal # of visits, how she planned on correcting it and echoed the concerns we all have.
If your on the fence about it, give the first visit a try. There are lots of discounts out there to try and see if the following is your experience.
1. Professional help: She is a doctor. Don’t have false impressions from the past. She is extremely knowledgeable and doesn’t force you into a cookie cutter mold. She clearly understands how different aspects of the body are tied together. She really does cover the bases of doing adjustment/correction work to loosen something up, strengthening work and technique evaluation. She made the program very progressive and spent time watching form and instituing good reps.
2. Empathetic: She strikes a reasonable balance between pushing you amd knowing when and how by continually asking for feedback on the activities, takes active noted and refreshes on the progress.
3. Trust in the process: you didn’t obtain your injury overnight and it’s not going to get fixed overnight. She’s going to send you homework and if you don’t do it, this won’t be effective but she will know. She will help hold you accountable and will need your help. She will work with you to find the exercises that are within your ability and gradually increase and she will get creative. Ask her questions, she’s not afraid to explain this and she has many tools to help!
Overall, my experience was great. We ended up getting to a point of no pain, more distance being run, more movements that previously hurt but now are pain free in 2 less visits than needed. If I injured myself again, I would have no concerns about going back.
