The Bruschetta is top notch – and a must order. service is great, and more than enjoyed the majority of the dishes I tried.
Quaint spot to hang out at the bar or outside.
Highly recommend regardless of if you live in the area, hanging out downtown or visiting San Diego.
What a fabulous place in Little Italy! Love the decor. There were nice comfortable seating inside but most people opted to be seated outdoors to enjoy our beautiful weather.
We were warmly greeted by the manager at the hostess stand in arrival. Our servers were very friendly as well. Service was stellar!
We came here for lunch on a weekday and there was no wait. They have a special going for $6 glasses of wine until 5pm every day.
We ordered their bruschetta board of 4 bruschettas of our choosing. Since there were 3 of us in our party, we each got a board so that we could try different ones to try.
I really love the mushroom+marscapone, the burrata+bacon+tomatoes, the smoked salmon+pesto, the apple+brie, and prosciutto+fig. The chefs special of goat cheese+butternut squash+pepitas was a little on the plain side. The salami+pesto was nothing special as well.
The crispy cauliflower appetizer we ordered in addition was a hit as well with the yummy Romanesco sauce.
To top off a great lunch, our server Sydney brought out a plate of freshly baked gooey giant chocolate chip cookies too! Thanks Postino for a delicious lunch!
it’s just alright! we went for dinner on saturday night, and everything was fine, but nothing really stood out. tried 4 different glasses of wine and none really stood out, they were very straight forward with maybe a hint of what their category is. the food is also just fine, with the meatballs being the best of the items we tried.
it’s a great looking place and the staff is awesome – but everything is pretty underwhelming at full price. I will say that the happy hour deals are definitely worth it, but maybe not a destination for the full priced menu.
Updated review -I recently enjoyed lunch at Little Italy with my friends and mom during happy hour, where wine and a pitcher of beer were only $6 before 5 PM. We shared a four-piece bruschetta platter, mushroom truffle fondue, roasted cauliflower, and a chicken salad. The service was excellent—my waitress Chris was especially great, even helping with our stroller and providing warm water for my mom—and we even got a freshly baked cookie. If parking is tough here, there’s another branch at One Paseo in Del Mar.
Previous review- My husband and I walked by this place and wondering why we never saw it before. We decided to give it a try, and we found out that it was their opening today! The vibe and decoration is beautiful, it’s great for a date or friend’s hangout. I had a crispy cauliflower and my husband had a grilled cheese, both are nice. I think my cauliflower is more unique and delicious. I highly recommend it. Service is nice and friendly. It will be a popular spot for sure.
It’s our anniversary, and we wanted to celebrate with a solid charcuterie board. So, like any responsible adults, we Googled ‘charcuterie boards San Diego,’ and Postino Little Italy popped up. Seemed like fate, so we rolled with it.
We brought our service dog, and right off the bat, the hostess was amazing—super friendly and, without missing a beat, brought our pup some water before we even sat down. VIP treatment all around. They sat us outside, which was exactly what we wanted, and the vibe was just right.
Our first server, Molly, was awesome, and then Stephanie took over, and she was just as cool—both were absolute rockstars. The bartender also deserves a shoutout because my dirty martini was on point, and my girlfriend’s house wine was delicious.
For food, we went with the hummus board and the bruschetta board, and let’s just say, they did not disappoint. We might have been celebrating our anniversary, but honestly, the real love story here was between us and that food.
Safe to say, we’ll definitely be coming back. 10/10, highly recommend—especially if you want top-tier service, killer drinks, and a place that treats your dog like royalty.
