Appointment was made for 3:15pm still waiting. Front Desk told me hat Doc was bussy, behind with her patients. If i wanted to see another Doc. i told her no because my kids would feel more comfortable being seen by a Female. She said well it will take a while. I said ok. We got called in to the room and another girl comes in and says Doc is really bussy she has a lot of patience do you want to see another Doctor i said no i been waiting already and i told the front desk i didn’t want another Doctor. She said ok mom im just letting you know it’s going to be long. i said that’s fine. The big question is why do they over schedule people..
Front desk service is just okay. They always seem like they’re too busy to acknowledge the customers/patients at first. Always takes a while (its usually when they aren’t busy). The medical assistants and admin are great. Most of the doctors are too. Very friendly! If it weren’t for the front desk staff’s lack service skills, I’d definitely would’ve given them 5 stars. It’ll definitely continue to be my son’s Dr’s office. If possible, get dropped off, take Lyft or the bus. The parking is atrocious.
Crowded when I came in on a saturday but staff got us seen fast. Staff is friendly and organized and seemed to work well as a team, especially the front desk. No tissues in waiting room for community use, seating was limited enough that some families were standing. If you need xrays on a Saturday this is the only urgent care with this capability within this network.
One of the nurses, Ruth Barrera, is rude, unprofessional, and likes to speak down to people. I don’t know if she thinks she runs the place or what but her attitude needs an adjustment to be working in patient care.
Untrained and unprofessional staff
I moved to Hawaii and called the office to request my medical records, only to be told that they refused to provide them unless I bought a plane ticket at my own expense and came to the office in person. The woman on the line said that the office would refuse to honor a written letter to authorize them to mail my records or to authorize a relative to pick them up in person. Whether this woman lacks training or it is the misguided policy of the clinic, this is an undue burden to accessing my medical records and constitutes a violation of the law and patient rights under HIPAA. I will be filing a complaint with the state medical board.
If you want to a clinic that will respect your most basic rights as a patient to access your medical records, go elsewhere.
