I have worked with Luis and the Medrano Company for over 20 years and they completed two large projects for us recently. In all instances the work was done in a timely professional manner and the staff was very easy to work with and extremely conscientious. I recently worked with Medrano Co for some waterproofing at my apartment, and they did an excellent job. The team was professional, timely, and communicated everything clearly throughout the process. The good news: They provided a reasonable quote very quickly. The majority of the aesthetics are good. The bad news – they did not secure two decks to my house under both the door and slider. Had more than 14K of damage as a result which they will NOT repay me. Medrano tried several times to fix the problem but it was not resolved. Make sure you know exactly what you are getting. For example, ask these questions: Will you adhere the new deck to the house under the sliders? Will you put a flashing under the slider so that it will not leak? Will you put flashing under my door so that it will not leak? These specific terms were not put in my contract and so Medrano states that this is not their responsibility. Make sure everything is listed in your contract. Further, when questioning about the sloping of the deck, Medrano stated that a slope to reach the drains was not stated in my contract. To their credit they did fix the sloping. But the balconies still leak into my house. Just make sure everything is clearly stated in your contract. Will most likely go to arbitration. This is too bad as I was hoping to support a small, minority owned business.
