Maya’s Cookies

I had the pleasure of trying Maya’s Cookies, a Black woman-owned bakery in San Diego specializing in gourmet vegan cookies. My office and I received them as a gift from one of our vendors (great gift idea). The team loved them! The packaging and presentation were really nice. Great idea to bring to an office for all to enjoy.
The cookies are not overly sweet. My favorite was the Everything Cookie, it had the perfect combination of salty and sweet, I highly recommend!
They are on the firmer side, but a quick few seconds in the microwave turns them into soft, gooey perfection, which is more my style of cookie.
I can’t wait to visit the bakery in person to get the full Maya’s Cookies experience! Highly recommend giving them a try—whether you’re vegan or not, these cookies are a treat.

I found out about Maya’s Cookies by Tabitha Brown. I was scrolling and saw a post about this vegan brand from her, so I decided to give them a try. Another reason was because they are vegan and I’m always looking for better choices. I received my package today and I tried the Caramel Pecan cookie and my son tried the Birthday Cake one. They are sooooo good. I ordered 2 build your own boxes and I have more flavors to try and I’m so excited and glad that I took a chance and purchased! Believe me you will not be disappointed at all. They are not too sweet just right! Good Bye Crumble Cookies! Maya you have gained a lifetime customer in North Carolina! As far as their customer service that I experienced, it was that they were very prompt on respondin yo my email.I reached out about the charges that appeared on my cc and they responded back very quickly(same/next day) and provided a very detailed explanation. After that I had no worries. Love it

I heard of Maya’s cookies from a friend before but had never had the chance to try them. Fortunateley they were one of the vendors in the North Park winter fair. First of all, let me start by saying that customer service was excellent, the young man even gave us a free cookie to try which was such a nice gesture. Now, let’s talk about the cookies. We ordered the cinnamon, the red velvet and the chocolate peppermint. All cookies are big and heavy and are totally worth the price which is $5 per cookie. They taste like a proper cookie should taste. Most importantly they taste like the advertised flavor. The cinnamon cookie tasted like cinnamon, it was also stuffed with pecans. The red velvet had that nice chocolate flavor without it being overwhelming or it turning into a plain chocolate cookie, it tasted like red velvet should. Lastly, the peppermint chocolate cookie was well balanced which is hard to do anytime you add peppermint to anything. Surprisingly, none of the cookies were overwhelmingly sweet which is not a small feat. I can’t wait to try more of their cookie flavors. They are truly excellent, chewy, yummy tasting cookies.
