Most affordable locksmith in San Diego by a long shot! I needed to get a spare key for my 2013 car. Its normally hundreds of dollars because of transponder chips, thick square shape that has to be laser cut and key fob built into the key. I got same day service and the work was done quickly on the spot while paying about a third of other quotes. Thanks!

When I initially thought I could only go to a car dealer to have my key replaced, I was advised to try these guys. So, I decided to give them a try and call. The woman that answered the phone began to ask me questions of the make and model of my vehicle, then asked for my address, and finally my phone number. I immediately felt uneasy about it and with no quote. A few minutes after hanging up, the locksmith called me back and quoted me $130. $50 dollars cheaper than dealership. After I hung up, another locksmith person called me. I proceeded to tell him that I was already contacted by someone else. He then demanded me to tell him what quote I received and after I told him, which I shouldn’t have, he quoted me $150 to make 2 keys and I thought that was weird. I felt offended and decided to call the previous locksmith and let him know what just occurred. He told me he will handled the situation. I called him back about 45 min later and he told me a time he could come.
When he finally arrived, I saw that he wasn’t alone. I’m thinking to myself, that’s weird. The locksmith asked me where my car was located and he immediately got out, grabbed a machine similar to the ones that does a diagnostic check or smog, and goes to my car, plugs it in, and takes the spare car key I had, and starts my car with it. I looked at him and said “That’s all” and he said confirmed it. However, something didn’t sit right with me. His partner, that was in the car with him, while the locksmith was using his machine, got out of the vehicle, went to my passenger side door, looked around inside my car and tried to open up my door to get into my car. I asked the guy, is he being trained to do this job and he stated yes, while giving me a strange look. Roy spoke to this guy in Spanish, and he then got back into the van. IMMEDIATE RED FLAGS. This whole behavior made me feel like something else was amiss. Although Roy, got my car key to work, I decided to ask him how he did it. He told me that the key has a chip inside of it but wouldn’t start the car and he released the lock on it by doing a bypass. He then proceeded to tell me, If you find the other key, it won’t work anymore. This whole experience felt extremely shady.
