La Mesa Flooring Company

Too bad we can’t give more than 5 stars. From the minute we walked in their showroom we were greeted with friendly, knowledgeable people. It took us several (many, many) visits to finally make decisions such as how much of the house to do to which flooring to select, etc. We went back and forth several times. We ended up deciding to go with Cortec Grande Golden Oak LVP flooring throughout our 3100 sq ft home and Anderson Tuft carpet on the stairs. They also did all new 5” baseboards.

We were fortunate enough to end up with Dylan as our sales/project manager. I have a good sense for people and after meeting with him for a few minutes I knew it would be a good experience. My “Spidey senses” were right. He made the entire experience delightful. There was no pressure…just provided information that helped us make our ultimate decision. We are very picky and both perfectionists so weren’t hopeful that they would be able to meet all our expectations. We are also not used to companies doing what they say they’re going to do but La Mesa Flooring restored my faith. There were a few minor issues that came up but were quickly addressed and everything to our satisfaction. Their prices were competitive and fair and the workmanship quality was great.

After the carpet was installed on the stairs we realized we had chosen carpet too light for our lifestyle…puppy, etc. We reached out to Dylan who immediately sent new samples of the Anderson Tuft carpet in darker colors. He gave us an incredible price to reinstall the darker color carpet on our stairs and it now looks amazing and we’re thrilled with it!

It literally took years to decide on putting in new flooring not just because of the work involved on our part (basically moving out) but because we weren’t certain a company like La Mesa Flooring still existed. I’ll admit the moving out part was hard (albeit well worth it) but the company we selected took away the fears we had about the installation process. It was as effortless as it could have been. I almost wish we had more flooring to put in. We’ll miss dealing with Dylan.

So if these are thoughts/doubts you have I can promise you won’t regret selecting them as your flooring company (and no we weren’t paid for this review)!

Let me share with you my “above and beyond” experience with La Mesa Flooring Company! I am retired, a recent family caregiver, who resides in a 1956 year old home in La Mesa. I have lived in this home over 30 years and the hunter green carpet is AS OLD and has seen kids, pets, elderly…you get the drift, time for new flooring! I am not educated in flooring but knew I didn’t want carpet again. I’ve always been advised to get 2 to 3 quotes before committing. I went to a few big box establishments and while pricing seemed somewhat comparable, I just had so many questions and always felt brushed off. To me, this was an investment in my home, and I only wanted to do it once and I wanted to do it right! My neighbor suggested La Mesa Flooring. They have a great website and have been around since 1935. He prefaced that they are a bit pricier, but I wouldn’t be disappointed. I wasn’t a fan of the posted $60 measure fee which would be applied to the project if I went ahead with them, but, it didn’t deter me from visiting the showroom to “just look”.(In the end, it was completely worth it and justified.)
Well, enter, Tom… Greeted me upon me entering the showroom, listened graciously to all my questions, no heavy sales pitch… I think I was there for two hours, looking, comparing, learning. And that time invested in me, is what sold me. He gave me samples to take home similar to what other companies had already given me, but, the difference, you see, was the customer service provided which swayed me. I signed up for a measurement appointment. Dylan, sales representative, arrives. Very professional, and it was apparent that he has many years of experience in this field. I voiced some concern about the age of the house from when we originally renovated and possible concern for asbestos. He took the extra steps to pull up carpet, and give me his honest predictions, given the age of the home, and what would ultimately be needed whether I went through La Mesa Flooring or an alternate company. No one else bothered to do that. Needless to say, I received an itemized quote, fair, inclusive of moving lots of heavy oak furniture and signed. The installation crew, Jesse, Lead, amazing communicator, along with Freddy, Mario, Roberto and Pedro turned the project in five days, cleaning up after themselves each day. I was very impressed with how organized they were and what was accomplished in that short time period. I was kept informed daily as to what to expect. Highly efficient.

In closing, I am very pleased with the luxury vinyl flooring in my home! It looks like a brand new home! Thank you, La Mesa Flooring!

We have just had our home renovated with new flooring and carpeting from La Mesa Flooring and we are absolutely delighted. Everything about this has been terrific from start to finish. Our salesman Dylan was great at helping us select the laminate flooring and carpet to make our home look great, the scheduling was worked to meet our timeline and the installation done by David was great. We are so glad we had La Mesa Flooring do our floors and highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their flooring done.
