Busy lunch spot in the Convoy Asian Cuisine district. A pleasant, smallish restaurant nestled in a strip mall. The food was excellent with a spice level of 0-10. And warnings they use Thai chili’s! The whole fried fish dishes are an amazing presentation and the fish is delicious with a crunchy coating. The curry is some of the best I’ve had and I have a preference for Thai curries.
Koon Thai Kitchen offers a delightful dining experience with authentic Thai flavors and a cozy ambiance. We started with the Spinach Curry Puff, which was flaky and filled with a flavorful curry mix, and the crispy Spring Rolls served with a sweet chili dip. For mains, the spicy Pad Kee Mao stood out with its fiery kick and fresh basil aroma, while the Pad Thai offered a comforting balance of tangy, sweet, and nutty flavors. The highlight was the Red Curry with Mock Duck, rich and aromatic, with the mock duck perfectly absorbing the curry’s flavors. Paired with a refreshing Thai Iced Tea, the meal was a treat for the taste buds. Highly recommend for Thai food lovers!
The food here boasts unique flavors that really stand out. The duck was crispy and well-seasoned, while the lamb was tender and juicy. The service was also quite good. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Delicious Thai restaurant with plenty of food choices and a really fun atmosphere and decor. The staff were attentive and offered good recommendations. We had red curry with chicken, yellow curry with tofu, panang, and fried tofu. It was all perfectly spiced and delicious. We will definitely be back.
We ordered boat noodles, Tom yum noodles, lad na, fried tilapia filet in sweet sauce, drunken noodles, crab fried rice and roti with dipping sauce and fried soft shell crab for appetizers. Everything except lad na and boat noodles were good, not recommending these two. Lad na lack flavor and overwhelm by the starch which thickens the sauce and the boat noodles didn’t taste quite right with the broth. The surprising dish was the roti which came with a curry dipping sauce that was just right. 8 people was $150 + 20% automatic tip and tax = $200.
