This is how garage doors should be, it covers the entire opening, and beep is loud enough to hear while entering garage and can be disabled if you don’t want to hear it. super easy to install and instructions are clear , definitely a diy job. If you can change a light bulb you can install this yourself. pro diy tip, i took off top caps and slid the brackets down the sensor , easy peasy! I highly recommend this product ,fwiw I had a problem with bracket and they answered my email quickly and resolved my issue , so the support is also there.
Awesome!! Installed in minutes. Works great!!! Make sure if you have a battery backup to disconnect it when you pulled the power. If not , opener will act flaky. Support.. I reached out to them. They were very quick to respond with an eta to call back. I figured out my mistake before they called. Thanks Infinity-Shield!!
Received and installed the Infinity Shield sensors, and very happy with them. After having a tailgate scraped up by the garage door a while back I’ve been thinking of how to avoid this. I was considering building a sensor system with an Arduino or similar, and while possible, I was concerned about reliability. This solution works well and out of the box and is easy to install. I appreciate the thought that went into this product. It works as it says!
The first infinity shield I received was damaged in shipping but I sent an email with my order info and pictures of the bent units and within hours they planned to send another set which I received yesterday. I installed the un-damaged set today which was very easy, I just measured from the floor up for a good spot for the clips on both sides and installed the clips and clipped the units in place. I had a wired sensor on the garage door and rail for our security system but the Infinity Shield fit over that easily. Wiring it was the biggest challenge I got the wrong polarity at first and had to unplug the garage door after testing it and reverse the wires then plug it back in but then it worked as expected.
I ordered my infinity shield in September ‘24 and received it towards the end of January ‘25 after sending a message asking when I’d receive it. They did say it wouldn’t ship until January which is why I waited. They responded to my email fairly quickly, but I never received an order acknowledgment or shipping confirmation. That is something they need to add to their process. The installation couldn’t be easier. I flipped the dip switches down as needed for my door opener, and snapped the brackets into my rails and then snapped the infinity shield onto each side. I connected the wiring then tested. It worked straight away so I cleaned up the wiring with a few zip ties and called it done. All together, it took maybe 15 minutes. It doesn’t really get any easier. I left the beeping feature on so we know if there’s something in the way of the door without looking. I would only turn this off if I was working in the doorway. It’s loud enough that if you roll your window down in the car, it’ll tell you when you’ve cleared the door. Nice feature to have. Overall I’m happy. 🤞🏼it lasts. I don’t know why it wouldn’t.
