I tried the lavender thyme latte, and it was amazing. Nice open atmosphere, lots of great seating. Both kid and dog friendly. Saw multiple people bring strollers and small children. Fun menu with unique flavors. Friendly yet efficient staff. Surrounding neighborhood had decent parking. I would definitely recommend coming. Probably my new favorite spot in San Diego.
Such a hidden gem! Cortado with almond milk (yes extra charge for alt milk) was amazing and beautiful foam art. All out of pastries by 2pm but lunch options looked affordable. Parking is limited on Adams Ave, not too much seating inside, but plenty of outlets and the vibe from the plants and music is so chill and laid-back; perfect for studying. This is a classic coffee shop with down-to-earth staff, great customer service, and a top cafe choice for me in the area! Roasting locally brewed Compa coffee.
Love this place! They have the best cold brew in University Heights/ Northpark ! My boyfriend and I were visiting San Diego and decided to check this place out. We loved it so much that we went every day.
Some very legit coffee and very top notch baristas. The store is quaint and cute, small yet able to hold a crowd. The espresso is delicious! The jade green tea is nice too. In terms of food, I’ve only tried the chia pudding so far, but it was very tasty. Everything here seems so precise and calculated, it’s just intentional coffee all the way, and the quality is undeniable. Great job, Hawthorn! Everyone should try a cup.
Update: Stopped in today for a quick cup and decided to get a cortado with oat milk. The barista who took my order was a British woman whose sweater and earrings matched her green eyes—pretty cool! The cortado was very tasty, showcasing high-quality beans just like I remember. The store was quite busy, though it was a Saturday afternoon—good for them though! Still in high-demand, day-in, day-out!
We went on a weekday morning and it was busy! Quick service and kind baristas. The vanilla latte is especially yummy
