Dr. Papas reminds me of my dad and I find it comforting. He’s very sweet and good natured. I like the other female doctor that works here too, she took the time to answer all questions I had and was attentive. I mainly see him for a thyroid issue and he has been great with refills and I love that I don’t need to schedule an appointment to get my blood drawn, they just send the order in. I like the small town feel of their medical office and am just happy I found a good doctor in network with my healthcare plan.
Dr. Papas is fantastic. He’s very straightforward and doesn’t sugarcoat things. All his questions are direct to help get you the care you need. I’ve had doctors doubt me when it comes to my health, but he never once questioned me, and just believed me when I told him what was going on. He’s efficient and gentle and thorough, and I always loved his visits.
George Papas “doctor” lacks customer service skills. I felt like cattle walking in & out. Doctor found a lump on my back and said it could be a lipoma but let’s get you scheduled with dermatology & a general surgeon to have it removed. It’s been almost 2 weeks and I haven’t heard a word from him or his team. Called them and they told me they are still processing the referral without any follow up. I came here because I saw their review rating but it’s pretty clear these have been bought or posted by bots in order to boost the rating and get more clients in the door. If you’re looking for customer service, great communication and a simple follow up save your time and avoid this doctor.
I have been seeing Dr Papas and Ms Couris for about a year now. Both are sufficient in addressing my health needs. Seeing Ms Couris has been highly beneficial to my overall health and she really cares. However, the front office lacks follow up and communication required to provide comprehensive care. If they are supposed to follow up with you — in my experience they probably won’t. Often times, my call is not even answered and I have to call multiple times over the course of a day to finally get a response from someone. My medication requires prior authorization with my insurance company and I have called the office dozens of times following up on it. It has yet to be resolved and I have very little confidence it will be based on their organization. My prior authorization that I am fully qualified for is now denied twice due to lack of coordination, communication, and complete documentation provided to my insurance company. I am now running out of the medication and at risk of going backwards on my treatment. I am not sure who to discuss with or how to get the care I need.
If only Dr. Papa spent more time and got more involved with the patient. Sent in the wrong prescription after a conversation specifically expressing which prescription needed. Most likely will not be returning. In the process of finding a new doctor. He is a nice man just looking for a better service.
UPDATE:
Don’t know who’s running this office but once again while trying to correct a wrong prescription they keep sending in the WRONG Prescription. I’m not saying it’s Dr. Papas but essentially indirectly he needs to hire better office staff/management. And when I call in please don’t make it sound like it’s my fault when it’s clearly your fault. The pharmacy employee mentioned this always happens from this office. Means only one things. Incompetent uncaring staff.
