It’s a family-run business that pays homage to the original Lamplighter in Mission Hills, and you can feel that history and heart in every detail. The vibe is this perfect mix of Great Gatsby meets old-school mafia chic—classy, cozy, and full of character. Whether you’re singing your favorite song on karaoke or celebrating a special occasion, the atmosphere is always lively and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you come for a good time and leave feeling like a regular. Definitely a must-visit!
Service was great and I didn’t even have to go up to the bartender she kept coming to me. There’s karaoke that was fun. Up until I realized the DJ in charge of it kept skipping my name when it was my turn. I realized after people who weren’t even in the bar when I signed up kept going up and when I went up he said that he was skipping me on purpose. What’s the point of a sign up sheet if your not paying attention to it and just picking your favorite singers instead of whose next and to make it clear like I mentioned some of the people there weren’t even in the bar when I went last. So the fact that they didn’t go as much yet didn’t matter. I was going to be a repeat customer because I enjoyed it, but how the DJ behaved It made me feel like I wasn’t welcome there. I ended up leaving really upset and I will never come back here again. Karaoke is not about how good you are. It’s about having fun and the DJ kept singing over me, which I felt was rude because he didn’t do it with anyone else. Part of being a better singer is practicing too and I’m actually a choir member. I could be wrong, but it seemed like he turned the volume lower on me. Because I thought I was singing loud, unlike the other people who you could hear well. Wanted to order more, but had trouble seeing the menu with how dark it was, not a compliment or complaint about that just was a struggle seeing the menu…
This is a little gem with great vibes, fantastic cocktails, great music, great service. The cocktails are top! best drunk anywhere around SD. The DJ super cool joggling in between music and karaoke titles when everybody vibes in a very cozy and luscious atmosphere, I love this spot probably the best to have fun in Gaslamp neighborhood.
Perfect karaoke bar! Me and my friends went for a girls night out and had a blast!! I love to do karaoke and this bar was so fun and also had an upscale feel to it! It was such a blast and the bar tender Sage was great her drink recommendation were on pair!
I snagged a reservation for my birthday, for seats around the dance floor and I couldn’t have had a better time! They pulled out all the stops, my friends said the cocktails were great, and had good mocktails for the non-drinker in our group (me)! Thanks for making my birthday special!
