I met Dr. Singh today. She was amazing! Took so much time really listening to my husband and trying to problem solve his issues. When a new doctor meets you for the first time and asks, “what can I help you with”? you assume she/he hasn’t read your chart or know anything about your history and that you will have to start at the beginning of your story. Dr. Singh HAD read the chart and knew what we have been dealing with for years. I found this to be very refreshing and impressive. We felt very upbeat and hopeful after our visit.

Dr. Singh is charming. But after having a CT colonoscopy done I was not contacted with the results. After a month I contacted her office several times. I was always told they would get back to me. Finally I became unpleasant and a nurse got back to me with the information, that, “everything was all right.”
I asked for a copy of the report. It was not helpful. I wanted to speak with Dr. Singh and was given an appointment in 2 months.
Charming is not enough. I don’t know if her office is chaotic or she is, but I will not be seeing her again.

I have had 2 colonoscopies with her(3 with 2 other providers ) and I am now getting a third from Dr Singh. My two daughter between the ages of 19-22 at the time also had to get them due to their fathers family history . The 19 year old said “Best sleep and cleans of my life” obviously NOT traumatized . Not kidding you . She felt very at ease with the doctor and staff . The prep is the only down side and she forgot that once they gave her the drugs and she was out . My older daughter is a nervous wreck regarding the uncertain and she did great . No pain or discomfort . She is scared of needles and she even was ok with that . Said that it was no big deal and said everyone should do this if they are at risk or older . My 2 experiences have been great once you are in there . Honestly the prep is the worst part . Dr Singh is great and her staff is wonderful and take good care of you . Her PA Spencer is Awesome and really you can see her if this is routine and be schedule for the procedure with the doc . My Son is this December and step son also has to get one due to his fathers family history as well . Technically this is 4 5 star ratings so far . Also , if something is “routine” yes it books out . It is routine like a check up . If it is of an urgent nature she has to have time in her schedule to get people in . So, if you are turning 50, for example or have a family history call BEFORE a you are supposed to and get ahead of your anxiety . Then you can schedule a little more to your schedule and liking – just a suggestion with any great in demand doctor.

Emily Singh is a wonderful doctor, but I think it’s completely ridiculous and wrong that she is booked out at least 3 months every time I need an appointment. This is an ongoing problem with these doctors. They shouldn’t be able to take on a patient load so large that when a patient actually needs to be seen asap they can’t do it. You’re supposed to be able to rely on these people, but it seems like they are just in it for the money. I am very dissapointed and will be taking this up with the CEO of Scripps.

Dr. Singh is OUTSTANDING. She’s been extremely engaged and committed to making me heathy. I’ve been to a countless GIs in San Diego over the years and she’s proven, without a doubt, the most invested in my well being and most driven to solve my issues (and not just my GI issues). On top of all that, she’s extremely kind and caring 🙂
