Hands down the best burrito in East Village / Gaslamp, yeah, I’ve tried them all. California and Surf and turf burritos are my favorites. High quality ingredients, every bite gives you a taste of everything, and the tortilla is the perfect amount of toasty. Also, if you’re eating in, free chips and salsa while you wait for your order. There’s also just something better about getting their fresh salsas in squeeze bottles so you can always give yourself the perfect bite. On top of being the best burrito, the service is always awesome with the friendliest staff. Definitely one of the can’t miss spots in SD.
One of the best burritos I’ve ever had (surf and turf). Chips and salsa are phenomenal. Staff are super friendly. Great location, too! Would definitely return and recommend.
I had the carne asada mega quesadilla. It’s cut in 4 parts and I inhaled one section before stopping to snag a picture. It was juicy and flavorful. A nice addition to the sports bar atmosphere is that they bring chips and salsa complimentary to your order. For a sports bar across from Petco Park, that was a curve ball they threw. When ordering and paying it asks if you want to tip. Without knowing you get some table side service many people might opt to not tip. Only to be surprised there is tip worthy service rendered to each patron. Admittedly, I didn’t tip as I thought it was brought to the table and that was it. Once I learned there was table side service I immediately felt guilty. They were attentive and helpful.
Back to food with super crispy chips and a salsa that kicks. It was fresh and not packed with other mix-ins like many restaurant salsas. They offer Mexican sodas as well. As good ole Arnold would say “I’ll be back!”
El Puerto Seafood is an excellent dining option for anyone attending a conference at the San Diego Convention Centre since it is just an 11-minute walk away.
The food at El Puerto Seafood is simply delicious, with a wide variety of seafood dishes that are sure to satisfy any appetite. The restaurant offers good value for money, with generous portions and reasonable prices that won’t break the bank.
One of the highlights of our experience at El Puerto Seafood was the complimentary chips and salsa, which were delicious. The salsa was some of the best we have ever had – a perfect blend of heat, spice, and flavour that perfectly complemented our meal.
Overall, I would highly recommend El Puerto Seafood. The good atmosphere, service, and food, combined with the good value for money, make this restaurant a must-visit if you’re in the area. We would definitely come back here again in the future.
De los tacos de mar más sabrosos en San Diego! Their baja shrimp and gobernador tacos are bomb! I think what would make it a plus is if their gobernador taco is dorado instead of a soft taco, but it’s still delicious! They have three different salsas to accompany the tacos, red, green, and chipotle flavor. I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and customer service. I totally recommend. The michelada was good as well.
