Hands down the best wing spot in San Diego. So many flavor options and each is amazing! Not only are the wings great, but their wide selection of alcohol and other food options are amazing. I personally recommend the Dirty ranch and Lemon Pepper wings. They also can accommodate and do Flats only if you ask. Overall a phenomenal place!
The wings did not disappoint! So good! Definitely the best buffalo wings I’ve had in a long time.
We arrived on Friday during lunchtime and it was busy. We decided to sit inside the establishment. I had ordered the chicken quesadilla and it was delicious with sour cream and fresh salsa on the side. Also, ordered their wings and it was very delicious and highly recommend as they have a plethora of options. Lastly, my friend ordered the steak sandwich with amazing flavor. It was a bit chilly and cold inside so recommend sitting outside in the beautiful San Diego weather.
Every time we visit, the staff here goes above and beyond to make the experience incredible! I truly appreciate how they consistently go the extra mile to ensure everything is perfect. The wings are absolutely phenomenal—some of the best I’ve ever had.
That said, there are a couple of small downsides. The carrots served with the wings are often quite dry, and they’ve recently increased the price for additional sauces to $1.25, which feels a bit high. Also, substituting a sauce like ranch comes with an upcharge, which isn’t ideal.
But let me tell you, their sauces are worth every penny. We’re huge fans of the Dirty Ranch—it’s absolutely incredible! They even sell it in larger sizes for around $9, which makes for a thoughtful gift for any foodie. Plus, it’s such a great way to support a small business. If you’re interested, just ask for Skye—she’s super helpful and can give you all the details.
Speaking of Skye, she deserves a special shout-out. She’s consistently amazing, incredibly fast, and always goes out of her way to make every visit memorable. Skye truly shines, and I hope management recognizes her hard work—she’s absolutely the best!
Overall, this place is a gem. The food is outstanding, the staff is exceptional, and it’s a wonderful spot to support a local business. Highly recommend!
Dirty Birds on Tuesdays is the best. Can’t go wrong with half price wings and they have been running that special for a long time. Work colleagues and I try to make it over there to partake every so often. Today I ordered an Ace Guava Cider as a refreshing drink to go along with the wings. It wasn’t as busy as I’ve seen it in the past but they had all of the televisions set to various sports stations and some music playing in the background. We all ordered the 10 piece wings with two flavors each. I ordered the Diablo and PMP Warrior sauces and since I like extra sauce I always recommend ordering them “Extra wet” if you like it that way. Additional note: you also have the option of ordering all drums if that is your preference. Ten wings comes with some celery and carrots and either blue cheese or ranch side. The Liberty Station location has a nice outdoor patio and plenty of seating inside too. Parking can be somewhat challenging on a busy day but there is a lot right by the building and, if nothing there, you’ll have to go to one of the main Liberty Station lots and walk. Service was friendly and casual – no formalities here. They also don’t have a problem splitting checks if you are going with colleagues so that’s nice. There are approximately 40 sauce flavors so if you love sauces like me there are plenty to choose from. I highly recommend them – especially on Tuesdays!
