I was referred to UCSD, La Jolla by my gastroenterologist on Frost Street. I am suffering from gastroparesis (a non curable disease). I’ve had two large hiatal hernia surgeries. An option of a G-Poem surgery was given to me, but I’d have to go to UCSD. A referral was sent on April 6, 2023 it is now June 3rd, 2023. I’ve called several times and I am not given any information as to when I can have an appointment. Last I called was Friday June 2nd. The gal I was speaking to, said that Dr. Kunkel is the best in the country, he was away for awhile, but now he’s very busy making sure other patients get what they need (those were her words!) I asked when can I be seen, she said to wait another two weeks, I should be getting a call. I sure hope I don’t die by then!
Wow! I sure hope I can be contacted soon. I go through alot of discomfort everyday! Help!!
Dr Kunkle, on Feb 22 I have been referred to GI by Dr Bernie Sunwoo for a reflux that could affect my Cough due to my chronical lung condition (Pulmonary fibrosis). You were given the referral on March 2nd. Since Feb 24 I am trying desperately to obtain an appointment and NOBODY is able to tell me when I will get it. You may be a fantastic physician, but I had not yet a chance to experience that. You should clean your back log of referrals.
