Communal Coffee is an absolute gem! I had their Latte and the Spiced Pumpkin Latte—both were amazing. The lattes were perfectly crafted with rich, smooth flavors, and the Spiced Pumpkin Latte had just the right amount of seasonal warmth. The café itself has such a cool, welcoming vibe with its unique decor and cozy atmosphere. It’s a great spot to relax, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a quiet coffee. Highly recommend for any coffee lover!
My experience was nice the place is always busy most of the time for students every time I go it’s hard to find a spot to sit and I don’t mind to sear at the bar because there’s always flowers and I can even see wen hey are designing the bouquets (they are for sale) if you like flowers definitely you got to set at the bar. The only issue is the parking lot, but if you’re patient you’ll find one.
It’s good coffee. Cute place. BUT $15 +tip for this….?😓 small piece of bread, lack of prosciutto. I wanna support small businesses and local coffee shops. But I think I’m done. It’s delicious. But I truly realized I can make this at home. It’s 4 ingredients. No cook time. Needs to just be better priced. This was clearly not made with love 😂
Well designed interior with earthy greens as a pop of color amongst clean whites and wood tones.
Things you should know:
I. PARKING
Limited parking on the back side (3 spaces) & street parking available
II. SERVICE
I liked that Communal Coffee offers a self-service water station. What makes this cafe unique is the on-sight florist. They run out of pastries by the early evening, so it’s safe to say their supply is very limited but fresh. Coffee and alcohol are both served here. There’s also indoor and outdoor seating.
III. QUALITY
Their red wine, here, is pretty good ~ highly recommend. I don’t advise, however, sitting in the wood chairs by the dish drop off area because bugs WILL get into your food/drink. It was the only seating available during my visit and I was disgusted to find 3 nats in my singular glass of wine.
IV. CAPACITY
Packed on the weekends. This place is lively. I would try and visit during a weekday to get more available seat options.
Let me start with the bad.
The service was not good, they’re very obviously understaffed, and struggle to balance foot traffic with online orders, which results in skipping simple orders… such as a croissant, which for $7 I would hope would have come out in a decent time frame, the coffee itself was a solid 15 minute wait which is to be expected to a degree, the coffee however was in fact delicious and well made, no complaints there at all.
I’ve been in this lovely very modern meets rustic establishment for about 30 minuets and my only solid complaint is I am left croissant-less, and feeling mildly ignored by the staff, and counting my $7 as a loss.
