This family run restaurant serves authentic Mexican food in a casual setting. They also run a drive through and you can have it delivered. Portion sizes were generous. All our dishes tasted fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
The BEST CHILAQUILES! Colima’s Mexican Food is the reason why I have a renewed obsession with chilaquiles haha. I ordered the red chilaquiles with pollo asado and was completely in love. The chicken was so fresh and juicy, the red sauce was spicy and perfect for a morning kick, and the portions were glorious. I ordered it with an over easy egg, it also came with beans and red rice. It was truly mouthwatering and great for especially hungry customers!
Everything is authentic and made fresh, so expect to wait a little for your food to come out. Don’t worry they’re still pretty quick! Colima’s is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have tons of options from combination plates, burritos, tacos, and of course Mexican breakfast!
I chose to dine-in to get the full experience and I was totally happy I did. I relaxed, kept to myself and savored my food. The staff were quite friendly, the lady at the front register was welcoming. They gave me a number to locate me and brought the food to my table.
Colima’s has indoor and outdoor seating, the AC isn’t the greatest here, so I recommend taking a step outside. Parking is very limited, I struggled to find a spot as this place as it’s very popular. A drive-thru is available! I came here because of a recommendation, I’m glad I took the suggestion!
I was very impressed with their vegan offering, “Ramon’s Favorite.” It’s as big as your forearm so it’s obviously filling. But it’s also not greasy, it tastes like all fresh quality ingredients. No belly ache after. Affordable too, it’s right around 10 bucks after tax. And this was all around 6am this morning, they are open 24 hours.
San Diego Burrito has amazing carne asada steak not crappy fatty meat. Delicious
Good food, great prices and wonderful service. The menu is extensive with something for everyone. We got a $12 burrito that was HUGE, easily a foot long. This place has the feel of a family run Mexican restaurant, down to their salsa bar. Parking is pretty limited and can be blocked by the drive through line.
