The food and drinks are pretty! I didn’t give the food 5 stars because I don’t like goat milk/cajeta and that is what they put on the waffles. It is simple authentic mexican breakfast/brunch. The drinks were good.

I was recommended to this place through online.
I had just got off an early morning flight at 6 AM from TX and walked over from my hotel. Well when I walked in I immediately felt SO RUSHED.
And keep in mind I’m fluent in Spanish, and can communicate with anyone else who speaks it. Yes, the food being visually displayed does help, but when getting to the counter I forgot what the plate I chose was called and felt super embarrassed since the words weren’t coming out of my mouth and I felt like I was being rushed. I also wanted coffee, since it was the morning and I’ve been so tired of traveling. I asked for the cafe de olla. I paid and I tipped 20% (and i regretted doing that after my experience since it was counter service, I think my total for the plate and coffee was $40 for one person!!!!!!!) but I digress… when I went to go sit down and receive my coffee first, it was soooooo cold. Nothing ruins my morning more than when my hot coffee is lukewarm or cold. I didn’t ask for another one because the line to order was so long. Then my food came out, and that plate was a 5/10. I really should I’ve went somewhere locally owned, because my food was lukewarm too. Like the beef I got wasn’t fresh. The tamale was just okay. My eggs were okay, nothing special. My beans were just like the coffee, lukewarm. I get this place is cute and trendy, and maybe that’s just how a normal Monday is for a touristy city like SD. Maybe I’ll check out the other locations, but this one was not worth the price. I will say staff looks so hardworking, so no issues with them!

Not gunna lie the style of restaurant just isn’t for me. They don’t have menus and I couldn’t remember what I wanted and the way it was formatted was confusing. I hate saying it but very white washed Mexican food. It gets very busy, there will be a wait. The food is OK but I wouldn’t go again.

This little Mexican brunch spot is a must try! You’re greeted with an inviting display of premade plates, giving you a sneak peek at what’s on the menu—perfect for deciding what looks most delicious before you order at the counter.

The chilaquiles here are a standout! Crispy tortilla chips smothered in flavorful sauce, topped with the perfect balance of cheese, crema, and fresh toppings. Each bite is just as good as the last, making it easy to see why they’re known for this dish.

Before ordering, they give you a table number, and your food is brought right to you. The laid-back setup and cozy atmosphere make it an ideal spot to enjoy a relaxed, flavorful brunch. If you’re craving authentic Mexican flavors and casual vibes, this place should definitely be on your list.

This place never disappoints. Gets pretty busy so check in on yelp early and make sure your entire party is there or they will not seat you. The food is awesome! I’ve been here a few times and have gotten different things on the menu, all of which have tasted super good. This time I went with el patron and a chocolate milk.
