The views and atmosphere were nice here. They were very accommodating to our large party. The staff were top notch and kept up with all of our needs, while being friendly and courteous. The food was okay, I got to sample a few sushi rolls, appetizers, and oysters. There are much better options in the area though. As a date or HH spot, you can’t beat the location. We liked that there was an elevator to get to the restaurant, this came in handy for my husband’s grandmother who we were there to celebrate her birthday with.
Went here with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day as a surprise and overall it was a great dinner. The food was delicious we had the the yellowtail roll, miso soup, calamari and the beef appetizers. Our waitress was helping everyone else around us and didn’t check on us much, and we were unable to order a second main course because of that. But besides the service, we had a great dinner!
Second time here and while overall the quality of the food continued to be great, the service quality did drop.
The red dragon roll and the beef bao bun are both great and worth a try. The enfuego roll was decent but nothing crazy.
It seems that the lobster roll is one of the more popular rolls here but I guess we don’t really get the hype. It’s ok but it lacks any stand out flavors or at least it doesn’t match the price point. You can find cheaper rolls that are just as good if not better.
Overall, the spot has great views, there are some quality dishes in the mix and the service is courteous while tonight our service was quite slow. They did let us know that they were short staffed.
Very nice Asian/sushi place. Had great seating outside by the beach.
We only had 1 roll and tuna stack nachos, but they were great.
We went to Cannonball for dinner and enjoyed the experience. The Baos arrived without the sauce at first, which was thankfully brought after we each ate the first one, once added they tasted a lot better. The sushi was tasty and the location was good. I’d love to go back during the day to enjoy the views – will have to plan a trip back to San Diego.
