It seems things are just not the same here anymore. When you have a doctor tell you that you came in with a lot of issues today, well, isn’t that what I’m here for and you’re the doctor I came to see for it. I had a physical, got the bill and I was charged for a 15 min counseling session on depression? I was asked if I was asked if I was depressed and the answer was NO and we moved on. So for that quick response 50$? My physical didn’t even consist of her checking my thyroid which my family has a history and she knows this, my throat, bending over to see if i get dizzy? Nothing like that was done! I was shocked! Physicals before would consist of more than asking questions about depression. Don’t try and call the office either because you will never get anyone to answer so it’s best to just drive down and make an appointment in person. Extra work I know but this is how it’s been lately.
September 23, 2024 Update:
Stopped by the office today to schedule an appointment, and the sign is gone. Seems like the system is back up. I tried to schedule online, but it’s just a lot easier to take care of it if you can stop in while you’re already out on an errand to the pharmacy or store nearby.

I chose Dr. Hamidi’s office because she has a wonderful reputation, and my experience aligns exactly with that. However, I wasn’t able to schedule an appointment online or get through on the phone for the past couple days. So, I went to the office and saw a sign on the door that the office is closed because the system is down.
I wanted to leave this review, because there are probably many frustrated people on the other end of the phone/computer in the same situation wondering what’s going on. I don’t know how long the system has been down or when it will be back, but unfortunately I will probably now look for a new care provider.
Dr. Hamidi is a warm and kind doctor- I refer her all the time to women new to San Diego looking for a new PCP. Her office is easy to find/park/schedule vs UCSD I always had such a hard time seeing my PCP and they were always changing. She has always been thoughtful, kind, and thorough in my medical care and I’m grateful to have found her office!
Wouldn’t recommend this office at all. I showed up for an appointment with the PA Eelin and her bedside manner was awful. I just lost my mom to cancer and this was my first checkup in 2 years and I had some major concerns and she didn’t even look me over just made me fill out a depression survey and then referred me out. I then went to get the bloodwork done at a labcorp location straight after and they didn’t have the info so I tried calling probably 20 times and tried every extension and they didn’t answer the phone. Ended up having to leave Labcorp after fasting for over 15 hours without getting my bloodwork done. I will not be going back to this doctor.
DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. I had so many issues with the place – the biggest being that I went here back in May and it took me 4 months to get in contact with them about billing my insurance incorrectly. 4 MONTHS!!!! Actually they never answered the phone or called me back so I had to waste time out of my day to go in person to their office just to get the attention of someone. It is now October and is still not resolved. I’m exhausted by the process and ended up paying a more expensive bill just so I could wash my hands of having to deal with the place. Front desk staff are not welcoming and downright miserable, no one answers the phones, my prescription was never sent to the pharmacy, medical assistants are inexperienced and awkward… I’m just getting started. Never again. Terrible patient care.
