Very average restaurant. Nothing outstanding. Food served so hot it burns your mouth. Likely a microwave being used to make it that scalding hot but also unevenly heated. For example, the lasagna was piping hot on the outside, but the middle was still cold.
Their eggplant Parmesan sandwich is just served at a temperature that is so hot and never cools down. Flavor is lacking, but they do make up for it with cheese.
They also have small 7 inch pizzas, which taste worse than a school lunch pizza. I’ve had better Walmart frozen pizza. The dough tastes really bad and is rock solid as if it is a premade and pre-cooked dough. Sauce is flavorless and cheese is the only thing that is helping.
The food was absolutely amazing. The parpadelle with lamb was great, and the Tiramisu makes a great dessert. Andres was a brilliant host, and the ambience and atmosphere was also very nice. Meal was so good, we wrote the review immediately after. 10/10 worth visiting time and again.
The food and atmosphere were over the top.
And our waiter Paolo was the star of our visit.
He truly went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. He was one of the best we have ever had in over 70 years of eating out. Thank you Paolo
While in town awaiting a cruise, we spotted the Petrini’s menu in the hotel. The clerk said they deliver room service and that the restaurant is right across the street. After we settled into our room, we walked over for lunch.
We were welcomed promptly and Pablo was our server. We did not utilize the restrooms; however, the dining area looked clean and inviting. The main doors were open allowing for a nice breeze. Unfortunately, we smelled marijuana some while dining, which may have been wafting in from the street.
Our food was delicious and we enjoyed being able to walk so closely to try a new-to-us restaurant. If we, or you, are in the area and desire some great Italian food, Petrini’s is the place to be!
I’ll call this a fairly normal dining experience. Food was good. Nothing to rave about either way I suppose. Their service was definitely slow.
