I was super skeptical about eating here. I’ve always loved Fogo de Chao but wanted to see what else was out there.
Exceptional.
Right out of the gates, Galpao Gaucho hit it out of the park. They started out with the standard Pão de queijo at the table which was exceptional. They had a jalapeño sauce and chimichuri for dipping. The jalapeño was amazing.
The salad bar at GG didn’t disappoint. It was filled with cheeses, salads and standard offerings at a Brazilian steakhouse. As per my usual I loaded up on beets, candied bacon and salad before I started with the meats.
One distinction between GG and other Brazilian options was the variety of picanha. They have regular (as if that’s a bad thing) but they also have spicy and garlic crusted. I didn’t think it could get better than regular picanha but the spicy was ridiculous. 5/5
We also got to try the Gold crusted picanha which again was delish. Every offering we had here was top notch 5/5
One thing that really set this place a cut above the rest was the service. For this type of establishment, it was truly the best I’ve been waited on. 5/5
I would definitely return. The service was great, the bathrooms were clean and it was a good value all things considered in 2024. We’ve actually made reservations to return before we had back home.
The staff was very very helpful and nice. Always checking up on us. The food was very good. They had a really nice stocked salad bar with many options
Glorious selection of meat! The picanha was so tender and juicy, the lamb chops and lamb legs were delicious, shrimp tasted fresh, there’s also pork, chicken, salmon, ribs. I was thoroughly sated.
The salad bar provided nice palate cleanser between the meats; I would help myself to some vegetables, mushrooms, cheese, olives, beans as I think about what meat to get next. The salad bar is clean and the food looked fresh and inviting.
We were also given a plate of little cheesy bread; eat them hot!
I love that for some of the meat, we were able to watch them being grilled tableside and we could choose the done-ness that we like.
The wait staff was attentive; filling our water whenever one of our glasses is empty and coming around frequently with variety of meat.
It’s not the cheapest place to eat out, but if you love meat, you’d love this place.
So fun & they have so many food options! This is a great option for a group with different tastes. The staff is so courteous & kind. I recommend the cheese with the honey!
Everything was delicious and the service was amazing. If you love a good cocktail, be sure to try the Premium Caipirinha, a cachaca based drink. DELICIOUS!! Roger was our head waiter and explained everything to us perfectly. We had a wonderful experience.
